Our background in the trades and in running businesses gives us a practical foundation for that passion. We’re looking for Utah vacation homes we can care for over the long term, with attention to both the property and the experience of spending time there.

We’re interested in Utah’s vacation communities, with a focus on homes where nightly rentals are permitted by the city and any HOA.

We’re drawn to spaces that make gathering easy: room around the table, comfortable shared spaces, and a setting worth spending time in. Furnished homes and an established rental history are a plus.

You’ll work directly with Abby and Steve. If your home is listed, we coordinate with your listing agent.

02 / CONSIDER

Review the whole picture.

Price, payment structure, due diligence, and timing belong in a written proposal you can review with your advisors.

03 / CLOSE

Agree on a path forward.

We work toward an agreed closing timeline, with title work, inspections, and the required documents addressed along the way.

Open to seller financing?

We’re open to discussing it when it fits both parties. The amount paid at closing, repayment terms, and other conditions are part of the individual proposal. You should have the time and information you need to evaluate them with your own advisors.

We’ve been married for more than 20 years and have spent those years building businesses together. We live in Utah with our kids, and Buchmiller Properties is our family’s next chapter in ownership.

This brings together our experience building businesses and our personal love of creating experiences for people. We want to put that same attention to detail into places for family vacations, celebrations, and time away as a team.

about how we work.

Are you buying an investment property?

Yes. We’re looking for vacation homes as investments for our family property business. Our intention is long-term ownership and rental use, with a focus on memorable stays and gatherings. The fit for retreats or events depends on the home and the uses permitted there.

Can my listing agent stay involved?

Absolutely. If your home is listed, we coordinate the purchase conversation through your agent. We welcome their involvement and your advisors’ review of a proposal.

Do you only consider seller financing?

We’re open to discussing the structure of a purchase. Seller financing is one possible approach; whether it fits depends on the property, the terms, and each party’s needs. Contact us to talk about your situation.

How quickly could a purchase close?

The timeline depends on the agreed terms, property review, title work, and closing requirements. We’ll discuss timing early and put the proposed schedule in writing.

What if I want to learn more before discussing terms?

That’s welcome. Start with a conversation with us. Tell us what you’d like to understand about our background or proposed purchase, and we can discuss the information you need to evaluate it.
